India Can Become the World's 2nd Biggest Economy by 2031, Says RBI Dude
So, this big shot at the RBI, Michael D Patra, reckons that India could totally be the world's number two when it comes to the economy by 2031. And get this, by 2060, we could be the biggest! It's all thanks to our country's natural mojo, he says.

But hold your horses, we've got some hurdles to jump over first. We've got to sort out stuff like making our workers more productive, fixing up our infrastructure, boosting manufacturing's slice of the GDP pie, and going green for the planet. He talked about all this at some big IAS shindig in Mussoorie.

Patra believes that if we can keep our economy growing at a steady 9.6% each year for the next decade, we'll bust out of this lower middle income bubble and join the cool kids' club of developed nations. Now that's something to look forward to, right? Let's hope we can pull it off!
